The Geely EX2 pure electric hatchback earned the title of World No. 1 selling car in the A/B segments for 2025. Between January and December 2025, the model achieved annual sales of 465,775 units and became China’s best-selling model across all segments. Geely reached cumulative deliveries of 500,000 units just 14 months after launch, setting a new industry benchmark for the fastest delivery ramp-up of any pure electric vehicle launched in China during the 2024–2025 period.

The Geely EX2 is designed with a “smiling” front fascia and a premium design language. Despite its compact classification, the vehicle is built around a quasi-C-segment five-seat layout. This configuration provides 890 mm of rear-seat knee room to maximize passenger comfort.
Storage capabilities include several segment-leading features:
- Front Trunk: 70-liter capacity.
- Under-Seat Storage: 28-liter area located beneath the rear seats.
- Rear Cargo Space: Expandable from 375 liters to 1,320 liters.
- Cabin Storage: 36 practical compartments distributed throughout the interior.
Driving Performance and Safety Architecture
The model utilizes Geely’s GEA architecture to balance stability and maneuverability. It features a minimum turning radius of 4.95 meters, specifically designed for urban driving environments. The 11-in-1 electric drive system integrates multiple components to optimize power output and energy efficiency.
Safety remains a primary engineering focus for the EX2. The vehicle adopts a cage-type body structure and comes equipped with six airbags. It is also the only model in its segment to use a liquid-cooled battery system, supported by the Geely Battery Safety System for active and passive protection. For driver assistance, the car integrates 12 advanced ADAS functions.
Global Market Expansion and Sales Growth
The Geely EX2 has already launched in Brazil, Indonesia, and Thailand. In the Brazilian market, the model ranked second in local electric vehicle sales only 16 business days after its debut. The vehicle has also earned international recognition, including a 2024 Bronze Award at the IDA International Design Awards and the 2025 Brazil Trend Car Award.
Geely Auto Group plans to expand the footprint of the EX2 further in the first quarter of 2026. Target markets for this expansion phase include Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, and South Africa. This international growth supports Geely’s broader NEV lineup, which saw cumulative sales of 1.24 million units in 2025, a 150% increase over the previous year.
