GM Integrates Electrify America Into Brand Mobile Apps

GM EV owners can now access over 5,000 Electrify America DC fast chargers through myChevrolet, myGMC, and myCadillac apps, enabling seamless station location, route planning, and payment.

General Motors has expanded public charging access for its electric vehicle customers by integrating Electrify America’s network into its myChevrolet, myGMC, and myCadillac mobile applications. The integration provides access to more than 5,000 DC fast chargers, including Hyper-Fast 350-kW stations, across the United States.

Highlights

  • App integration enables GM EV owners to locate, navigate to, and pay for Electrify America charging sessions without downloading additional applications
  • Network access includes more than 5,000 DC fast chargers with Hyper-Fast 350-kW capability nationwide
  • Broader ecosystem connects GM drivers to over 250,000 public charging stations across the U.S. and Canada
  • Real-time features provide charger availability, route planning, and session monitoring within myBrand apps

Unified Charging Experience

The Electrify America integration consolidates public charging functions into GM’s existing mobile applications. Customers can access the Public Charging page within their respective myBrand app to view supported networks and initiate charging sessions.

“We’re collaborating across the industry to deliver not just more chargers, but better public charging experiences,” said Wade Sheffer, vice president, GM Energy. “Our work with Electrify America helps make public charging easier to access for GM EV drivers.”

App Functionality

Through the myBrand applications, GM EV drivers can:

  • Locate stations nearby with real-time availability status
  • Plan routes and identify charging stops along the way
  • Monitor sessions while vehicles charge
  • Pay directly within the app without secondary accounts

Network Scale

Electrify America operates the largest open Hyper-Fast charging network in the U.S., with stations in 47 states and the District of Columbia. The company has invested more than $2 billion in zero-emission vehicle infrastructure.

“Through this integration, GM EV drivers have more Hyper-Fast chargers to choose from and a seamless experience they can count on nationwide,” said Robert Barrosa, CEO and president of Electrify America.

GM’s public charging ecosystem now encompasses over 250,000 stations across the U.S. and Canada through various network partnerships.
