Honda has revealed the Super-N Prototype, a new compact electric vehicle designed to embody the brand’s signature “fun-to-drive” character while redefining small-car mobility. Making its world premiere at the Japan Mobility Show, the Super-N will enter production in 2026, launching first in Japan before expanding to markets including Great Britain and Asia.

Honda Super-N Prototype Debuts as Compact EV

Built on the lightest N Series platform, the Super-N Prototype draws inspiration from the Super EV Concept first showcased at the Goodwood Festival of Speed earlier this year. Its bold, wide stance, flared bumpers, and functional aero ducts establish a distinctly dynamic design language.

Inside, the cabin continues this sporty focus with blue-accented asymmetrical seats and a clean horizontal instrument panel that emphasizes visibility and simplicity.

BOOST Mode and Driving Engagement

A highlight of the Super-N Prototype is Honda’s new BOOST Mode, which enhances power output for sharper performance. This mode introduces a virtual multi-gear shift system paired with Active Sound Control and synchronized lighting effects, delivering a more immersive and responsive driving experience — rare for a vehicle of its size.

Market Outlook

“Honda’s Super-N Prototype promises to offer a great entry point to EV ownership when it arrives in our market next year,” said Rebecca Adamson, Head of Automobile at Honda UK. “It captures Honda’s ‘fun-to-drive’ DNA in a compact, all-electric form.”

While initially limited to select regions, Honda views the Super-N as an opportunity to gauge European consumer demand for small EVs.
