ADS-TEC Energy, a global leader in battery-based energy storage and fast-charging systems, has secured a significant order from HyperFast, a division of the Energy Solutions Group, to deploy its innovative ChargePost technology in Belgium. This partnership marks a pivotal step in expanding sustainable mobility solutions, leveraging ADS-TEC’s award-winning battery-buffered fast-charging system to overcome grid limitations and enhance electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure.

Key Highlights:

  • HyperFast’s Deployment: HyperFast will operate over a dozen ChargePost units across Belgium, integrated into the MobilityPlus charging network.
  • Battery-Buffered Technology: ChargePost delivers up to 300 kW of ultra-fast charging, even on power-limited grids, without requiring costly grid upgrades.
  • Sustainable Partnership: The collaboration with MobilityPlus ensures efficient installation and operation, supporting Belgium’s EV adoption.
  • Additional Revenue Streams: ChargePost offers energy trading and advertising opportunities via optional 75-inch screens, boosting operator profitability.
  • Green Energy Focus: HyperFast’s charging points are powered by 100% renewable energy from Energy Solutions Group, aligning with sustainability goals.

The ChargePost system addresses a critical challenge in Belgium, where limited grid capacity hinders fast-charging infrastructure. By utilizing battery storage, ADS-TEC’s solution enables high-power charging without extensive grid modifications, offering a scalable and cost-effective approach. Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy, emphasized the technology’s role in meeting the growing demand for high-performance EV charging, stating that it provides flexibility and efficiency for operators in constrained grid environments.

HyperFast, backed by Energy Solutions Group—the Benelux’s largest independent green energy producer—aims to quadruple its network of 25 charging points by year-end. This expansion supports the group’s broader mission to save over 1 million tonnes of CO2 annually by 2027 through renewable energy and storage solutions. The partnership with ADS-TEC Energy strengthens HyperFast’s ability to deliver sustainable, high-speed charging, driving the transition to electric mobility in the region.
