Hyundai expands its electric vehicle (EV) support by offering a complimentary ChargePoint® Home Flex Level 2 charger or a $400 charging credit to buyers or lessees of the 2025 IONIQ 6, 2024 IONIQ 6, and 2024 IONIQ 5 models starting March 1, 2025. This initiative, accessible via the Hyundai Home Marketplace, aims to ease the transition to EV ownership with convenient home charging or flexible public charging options. Customers can redeem their choice within 60 days of purchase, tapping into ChargePoint’s extensive network of over 87,000 chargers nationwide.
Key Highlights
- Eligible Models: The program covers new 2025 IONIQ 6, 2024 IONIQ 6, and 2024 IONIQ 5 vehicles, building on existing offers for the 2025 IONIQ 5 N and 2025 IONIQ 5.
- Home Charger Option: Customers opting for the charger must use Hyundai Home’s paid installation service, supported by Energy Advisors for a seamless setup process.
- Charging Credit Flexibility: The $400 credit works across multiple networks like IONNA, EVgo, and Shell Recharge via the ChargePoint app, with a two-year usage window post-redemption.

Hyundai’s move reflects its commitment to simplifying EV adoption. “At Hyundai, we’re committed to making the transition to electric as seamless as possible for our customers,” said Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. The company pairs this with the Hyundai Home Marketplace, a hub for EV charging, solar panels, and energy storage solutions, operated with partner Electrum. This collaboration ensures expert guidance and access to a national installer network.
For the charger, customers must schedule hardwired installation within 120 days of purchase, covering costs separately. The credit, meanwhile, offers immediate usability through ChargePoint’s app, enhancing convenience for on-the-go charging. With operations like its Alabama plant and California headquarters, Hyundai continues to drive EV innovation while contributing $20.1 billion annually to the U.S. economy.
