Hyundai Adds Calligraphy Black Ink to Palisade Hybrid

Hyundai introduces a new Calligraphy Black Ink trim for the 2027 Palisade Hybrid, priced from $59,280 and arriving at dealers in July 2026.

Hyundai will add a Calligraphy Black Ink trim to its 2027 Palisade Hybrid lineup, arriving at dealers in July 2026 with a starting MSRP of $59,280 for front-wheel drive and $61,280 for all-wheel drive, including $1,600 destination fees. The new range-topping trim builds on the sophistication of the existing Hyundai Palisade Hybrid Calligraphy flagship with a comprehensive blacked-out exterior and interior scheme. It will be offered in three exterior finishes — Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Gray Pearl, and Creamy White Pearl — each paired with the new Black Ink color and finish treatment. The trim is exclusive to Hyundai’s 2.5-liter turbocharged hybrid powertrain.

A Darker Take on the Flagship SUV

Hyundai says the Black Ink treatment is aimed at customers seeking a more distinctive design aesthetic for the Palisade without stepping outside the Calligraphy trim’s premium positioning. The Palisade Hybrid, which earned Edmunds’ 2026 Best of the Best award earlier this year, remains Hyundai’s flagship three-row SUV, and the automaker is positioning Black Ink as the top of that range.

“Palisade has become a flagship for customers who want family utility without giving up a premium experience. Black Ink sharpens that promise. It adds more edge, more presence, and more distinction to a vehicle that already delivers the comfort, craftsmanship, and everyday ease that buyers value most,” said Olabisi Boyle, senior vice president, product planning and mobility strategy, Hyundai Motor North America. “For our customers, luxury is not about excess. It is about driving something that feels worth the payment every month and every time you walk up to it. Black Ink is that idea at its sharpest.”
