Hyundai Motor UK has unveiled the pricing and specifications for the all-new INSTER, a small electric SUV designed for the European market. With a range of up to 229 miles and standard efficiency features like a heat pump and battery heating system, the INSTER offers practical urban driving capabilities and strong performance for longer journeys. Available in two trim levels, prices start from £23,495.

The INSTER is Hyundai’s first small SUV in its electric lineup, providing versatility and energy efficiency. With a robust SUV design and features like flush surfaces, pixel lighting, and a bold skid plate, the INSTER stands out in Hyundai’s growing electric vehicle portfolio. Customers can choose from two battery options: a 42kWh standard battery or an upgraded 49kWh long-range battery, with the latter providing a segment-leading range of up to 229 miles.
Inside, the INSTER boasts enhanced technology and convenience features, including a 10.25-inch digital cluster, infotainment touchscreen with navigation, and a wireless charging dock. The interior also offers versatility with walk-through access and the ability for all seats, including the driver’s, to fold flat for extra space. The vehicle’s V2L functionality provides power for external devices, supporting equipment such as laptops and camping gear.
The ADAS technology package ensures a high level of safety, including features like Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, and Highway Driving Assist. Prices for the INSTER start at £23,495 for the 01 model, with the 02 version adding extra features such as 17-inch alloy wheels, LED lights, and heated seats.
The new INSTER is available in nine different exterior colors, allowing customers to personalize their vehicles further. It is also part of the INSTER Roadshow, which runs until December, giving potential buyers an early look at the vehicle across Hyundai’s UK retailers. Hyundai offers finance options starting from £248.57 per month, making the INSTER an affordable option for those looking to switch to electric.
