UK-based start-up IONETIC has launched Arc, a world-first, AI-supported development system aimed at cutting costs and reducing development time for electric vehicle (EV) battery packs. With Arc, IONETIC aims to help original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) bypass traditional, costly development processes and bring custom battery packs to market faster.

IONETIC’s Arc system is designed to streamline the development of EV battery packs by integrating software, hardware, and fabrication technologies. Traditionally, OEMs seeking customized EV battery packs face either costly bespoke solutions or the drawbacks of off-the-shelf options, with neither being ideal. Arc aims to bridge this gap by offering a tailored, efficient approach that meets both performance and cost needs.
Software within Arc employs AI-accelerated tools to eliminate the need for manual, iterative engineering, facilitating a faster design cycle. The hardware aspect centers around a pre-defined system that includes pre-validated components, making it easier to adjust and validate designs, while maintaining high flexibility.
