2026 IONIQ 5 N Price Drops to $59,900

Hyundai has cut the 2026 IONIQ 5 N's starting price to $59,900, a $6,300 drop, while adding a NACS port and more N Drift Optimizer stages for the new model year.

Hyundai Motor America has cut the starting price of the 2026 IONIQ 5 N to $59,900, excluding a $1,600 destination charge — a $6,300 reduction from the previous model year. The company frames this week’s move as part of a broader push to expand N-brand leadership by making track-ready electric performance accessible to more enthusiasts. For 2026, the high-performance SUV also gains a NACS charging port, additional N Drift Optimizer stages, and several other equipment updates. Hyundai reports the model delivers up to 641 horsepower with N Grin Boost engaged, positioning it as the brand’s most attainable all-electric performance vehicle yet.

Highlights

  • 2026 IONIQ 5 N starts at $59,900, excluding a $1,600 destination charge — a $6,300 reduction from the previous model year
  • Hyundai reports up to 641 horsepower available with N Grin Boost engaged
  • A NACS charging port replaces the previous CCS connector, adding native access to Tesla’s Supercharger network
  • N Drift Optimizer expands to ten selectable stages, up from a single mode previously

2026 Model Year Changes

Beyond the price cut, the 2026 IONIQ 5 N carries several hardware and feature updates:

  • NACS charging port replaces the previous CCS connector, giving owners access to Tesla’s Supercharger network
  • N Drift Optimizer now offers ten selectable stages, up from a single mode
  • A dual-amperage Level 1/Level 2 combination charger comes standard
  • CCS-to-NACS adapters are included for both Level 2 AC and DC fast charging
  • Forward Attention Warning, an in-cabin camera system, is added
  • Rear windows gain auto up/down operation
  • A new Performance Blue Pearl exterior color is available

Performance and N Technology

IONIQ 5 N is Hyundai’s first all-electric N model, combining the standard IONIQ 5’s Electrified Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with N motorsport technology developed through Hyundai’s “Rolling Lab” prototype vehicle series. Hyundai designed the SUV around three N performance pillars — Corner Rascal, Racetrack Capability, and Everyday Sportscar — and reports it delivers up to 641 horsepower with N Grin Boost engaged.

The driver-selectable N e-Shift feature simulates the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission found in Hyundai’s gas-powered N models, controlling motor torque output to mimic gear changes, with synchronized audible cues and torque curves that vary by simulated gear. Hyundai pairs N e-Shift with N Active Sound+, giving drivers an audible cue tied to speed and power — a reference point the company says helps with judging cornering speed on track. Hyundai developed the NACS charging port and sound technology through testing at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit.

“Our 2026 IONIQ 5 N is one of the most critically acclaimed models we’ve ever offered,” said Ricky Lao, director, product planning, Hyundai Motor North America. “IONIQ 5 N’s exceptional performance, technology, and innovation without compromise is now priced within the reach of even more driving enthusiasts.”
