Invisible Urban Charging teams up with JLL to service and install large-scale electric vehicle chargers worldwide, helping to boost the growth of EV infrastructure globally.
What’s Happening
Invisible Urban Charging (“IUC”) has declared a partnership with JLL, a global leader in project development and management, to install and service electric vehicle (“EV”) charger banks globally. The exclusive Project Management partnership with JLL enables IUC to use JLL’s network of electrical contractors, logistics, and signage partners to extend its reach worldwide.
Why It Matters
The need for robust EV charging infrastructure continues to rise as the world accelerates towards electrification. IUC’s CEO, Nigel Broomhall, stated, “To meet the growing need for better EV charging infrastructure, you need partners able to deliver globally with excellence and JLL has a proven track record of doing just that.” IUC and JLL’s partnership contributes to their shared ambition of enhancing the EV footprint across the globe, contributing to a more sustainable future.
Key Points
This global partnership stems from several successful EV charger deployments across the United States. IUC and JLL have already launched banks of chargers in states like Florida, Arizona, Illinois, and Georgia. Besides deployment, IUC is also utilizing JLL’s research and sustainability teams for informed opportunity sourcing, based on local need, regulatory standards, and current and anticipated capacity.
Bottom Line
By joining forces with major property owners, IUC and JLL are setting the stage for large-scale, on-site EV charging, gearing up to meet the estimated demand for almost 7 million chargers in the United States and Europe by 2030. In the coming 12 to 18 months, IUC aims to roll out more than 80,000 EV chargers across the United States and Europe, further emphasizing their commitment to promoting a greener and more sustainable future.
