Honda has unveiled the lease pricing for the 2025 Honda CR-V e, the first production plug-in hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle made in America. The zero-emissions compact CUV will be available for lease in California with options including a 3-year/36,000-mile plan for $459 per month, featuring $15,000 of hydrogen fuel credits.

The 2025 Honda CR-V e boasts a 270-mile EPA driving range and combines a U.S.-made fuel cell system with plug-in charging capability, allowing for up to 29 miles of EV driving in urban settings and quick hydrogen refueling for longer trips.
Leasing is available through a network of 12 approved Honda dealerships in California, including six in Southern California (Los Angeles and Orange County), five in the San Francisco Bay Area, and one in Sacramento. Lease terms include up to 21 days of access to a rental vehicle from Avis, 24/7 roadside assistance, and eligibility for California’s Clean Air Vehicle Stickers, allowing single-occupant HOV access.
The CR-V e, with an MSRP of $50,000, offers no purchase option. Standard features include a 10.2-inch digital instrumentation display, 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto™ compatibility, wireless phone charging, 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, power-adjustable heated front seats, heated steering wheel, dual-zone climate control, hands-free access power tailgate, parking sensors, and sustainable materials like bio-based leather seat upholstery.
HondaLink® with expanded capabilities is standard, providing hydrogen station information along with charging and power supply data. The Honda Power Supply Connector includes a 110-volt power outlet, delivering up to 1,500 watts of power for running small appliances, portable air conditioners, power tools, camping equipment, and more.

Manufacturing of the CR-V e takes place at Honda’s Performance Manufacturing Center in Marysville, Ohio. It features the second-generation Honda Fuel Cell Module, co-developed with General Motors, which offers improved durability, higher efficiency, increased refinement, and reduced costs compared to the previous generation.
Honda’s experience with hydrogen fuel cell vehicles dates back to the introduction of the Honda FCX in 2002, the world’s first zero-emission fuel cell electric vehicle to receive certification for everyday use by the EPA and CARB. The CR-V econtinues Honda’s legacy of innovation in the realm of hydrogen fuel cell technology.
