LEPAS will offer the first 500 UK customers to order its new L8 premium SUV up to £1,800 ($2,376) in savings through a new Founders Club program. The plug-in hybrid brand, a new-energy marque under Chery International, is using the offer to build early momentum ahead of its UK market entry. Customers can reserve a spot with a fully refundable £99 ($131) deposit placed through an official LEPAS retailer. Currency figures are approximate, converted at the July 2, 2026 GBP/USD rate.

Founders Club Terms
To qualify, customers must place orders through an official LEPAS retailer between August 31 and September 30. LEPAS said dozens of standalone dealerships are in various stages of opening across the UK, with all locations able to take pre-orders.
Alex Rose, LEPAS Regional Sales Manager, said: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the sheer volume of early expressions of interest we’ve had in the L8 ahead of its launch. It’s been unbelievable given that our dealer network isn’t fully up and running and that no-one’s actually had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and take it for a drive.”
L8 Trim Levels and Pricing
The LEPAS L8 will be sold in two trims. The Essence trim includes technology, safety, and comfort features and starts at £34,900 ($46,068) on-the-road. The Elevate trim adds additional in-car luxury and refinement and starts at £37,900 ($50,028) on-the-road.
Super Hybrid Powertrain
Both trims use the LEPAS Super Hybrid system, which pairs a 1.5-liter turbo gasoline engine with a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission, an electronic gear selector, and an 18.4 kWh battery. Key specifications include:
- DC fast charging from 30% to 80% in as little as 20 minutes
- Combined range of up to 745 miles
- Pure electric range of up to 56 miles
- Combined fuel consumption of up to 403.5 mpg
- CO2 emissions of 21 g/km, qualifying the L8 for free entry to London’s Ultra Low Emissions Zone
Range, fuel consumption, and emissions figures are based on the WLTP test cycle and may differ from real-world or EPA-equivalent results. LEPAS said a fully electric version of the L8 will follow in 2027.
LEPAS is Chery International’s fourth UK brand, joining Omoda, Jaecoo, and Chery. The L8 is set to lead the brand’s UK launch, with the mid-size L6 and city-focused L4 SUVs to follow.
