LG Expands EV Charger Lineup

LG Business Solutions USA has announced that it is now taking orders for its first Level 3 DC Charger in the United States, model LG EVD175SK-PN. This new addition will complement LG’s existing Level 2 AC chargers, providing flexibility and scalability for commercial customers to meet growing electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure needs. The chargers will be assembled at LG’s production center in Fort Worth, Texas, starting this fall.

The new Level 3 DC Charger is designed with a high-resolution 24-inch LCD touch-screen display, dynamic load management capabilities, and a liquid-cooled charging cable, supporting up to 175 kW fast charging. This addition demonstrates LG’s ongoing commitment to supporting the electrification movement by offering commercial customers comprehensive solutions for their EV charging needs.

The Level 3 DC Charger features a connected Power Bank and is designed to offer enhanced functionality for businesses, municipalities, and public locations looking to expand their EV charging services. Michael Kosla, Senior Vice President of LG Business Solutions, emphasized that the combination of Level 2 and Level 3 chargers provides a wide range of opportunities for customers looking to build or expand EV infrastructure, enabling additional revenue streams, marketing advantages, and business differentiation.

The new Level 3 charger is part of LG’s comprehensive strategy to empower customers to adopt more sustainable energy practices. Alongside EV chargers, LG offers a suite of whole home electrification products, including heat-pump-enabled HVAC systems, energy storage systems, and ENERGY STAR® certified smart appliances. Customers can also leverage LG’s ThinQ Energy platform to optimize their energy usage and reduce costs.
