LOS ANGELES – Loomis and Xos, Inc. have agreed to a deal that will see the addition of 150 armored electric vehicles to Loomis’ US fleet. Loomis has been incorporating armored electric vehicles into its operations since 2019, when it first deployed Xos-manufactured EVs.
As the company’s largest contributor to its carbon footprint, Loomis has set a goal to reduce its fleet emissions. This new order for electric vehicles is a step towards that goal and a shift away from fossil fuels.
Aritz Larrea, President and CEO of Loomis AB, stated that the company is dedicated to reducing its carbon emissions and leading the industry in this transformation. The increased number of EVs in the US fleet will not only reduce Loomis’ own emissions but also support its customers in reaching their sustainability goals while maintaining high security standards.
Dakota Semler, CEO of Xos, expressed his excitement about the continued partnership with Loomis, saying it demonstrates the reliability and durability of Xos vehicles and their ability to perform in high-security, cash-in-transit operations.
In addition to the vehicles, Xos has also provided Loomis with charging infrastructure and services to ensure a seamless integration into the company’s business operations.
