Lucid Group has signed an operational partnership with Emil Frey France Import Division to support its entry into the French market, with the Lucid Air sedan and Lucid Gravity SUV set to make their French public debut at the Paris Motor Show, October 12–18, 2026. Under the arrangement, Lucid will run its own import organization and retain full responsibility for brand, commercial strategy, and customer experience, while Emil Frey France provides operational services across multiple functions. Lucid has opened a French-market page for prospective customers ahead of the launch, and the company describes the deal as the latest step in its European growth strategy. The move follows Lucid’s shift earlier this year to a hybrid retail model in Germany, where the company signed its first European dealer partner while keeping control of brand positioning and pricing.

How the Lucid–Emil Frey France Partnership Is Structured
The partnership combines Lucid’s direct import operations with Emil Frey France’s automotive and importer capabilities. Lucid says the structure is designed to give it a scalable launch platform in France while keeping the brand relationship with customers in its own hands.
Emil Frey France’s role is that of a service partner. According to the company, it will deliver flexible operational services tailored to Lucid’s requirements rather than acting as a conventional distributor.
“France is one of Europe’s most important automotive markets and represents a key pillar of Lucid’s expansion strategy,” said Lawrence Hamilton, President of Europe at Lucid. “This partnership brings together our industry-leading vehicles and technology with Emil Frey’s unparalleled operational expertise and customer support. Together, we are building the foundation to deliver exceptional customer experiences for years to come as we continue to grow our vehicle lineup.”
“We are pleased to welcome Lucid as a partner,” said Pierre Guignot, General Manager, Emil Frey France Import Division. “This collaboration reflects our commitment to supporting manufacturers that are redefining the automotive industry. Our role is one of a bespoke service partner, providing flexible operational services tailored to Lucid’s specific requirements. Together, we are creating the conditions for a successful market launch in France.”
