Momentum 2030 Business Plan
These vehicle announcements serve as further proof of the brand’s Momentum 2030 business roadmap. This strategic plan outlines a path toward electrification, a renewed and expanded product line, a modernized retail sales model, and overall network expansion and sales growth. The plan is already in motion, highlighted by the recent debut of the new 2025 Outlander and a forthcoming updated Outlander Plug-in Hybrid. The addition of two all-new vehicles reinforces the company’s commitment to its ambitious goals.
New Off-Road Outlander Details
The second new model will be a rugged vehicle designed to build upon Mitsubishi’s history in off-road performance. While the company recently debuted a Trail Edition package for the Outlander, this new model will be a distinct variant. It is set to feature off-road-specific bodywork, performance upgrades, and unique interior styling.
The vehicle will also include off-road-focused drive modes to enhance its capabilities beyond the pavement. This model aims to take the company’s legendary Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel drive system to the next level. Further details regarding the vehicle’s name, technical specifications, and pricing will be released in future announcements.
Commitment to Electrification and Growth
The Momentum 2030 plan defines a clear path for Mitsubishi in North America. The introduction of an all-new BEV in summer 2026 and a new mild-hybrid powertrain in the 2026 Outlander underscore the brand’s commitment to electrification. In addition to product expansion, the plan focuses on growing its network of nearly 330 dealer partners across the United States.
All Mitsubishi vehicles will continue to be supported by an industry-leading 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, 5-year unlimited Roadside Assistance, and 2-year limited maintenance included.
