Mullen Automotive has announced the relaunch of its Mullen FIVE RS, an ultra-high-performance electric vehicle (EV) crossover, with initial sales slated for Germany in December 2025. This strategic move signals the American EV manufacturer’s entry into the competitive European luxury automotive market.

- Phased Global Rollout: Following its German debut, the FIVE RS is planned for launch in other EU countries, the UAE, and South Africa in early 2026, with a U.S. release to follow European success.
The Mullen FIVE RS is engineered to deliver a thrilling driving experience. Its impressive powertrain, centered around an 800-volt electrical system and a two-speed gearbox, provides instantaneous power to its all-wheel-drive system, resulting in its remarkable acceleration and top speed figures.
Development of the high-performance EV crossover is progressing steadily. Mullen recently announced the successful completion of 800V battery performance testing at the TUV SUD facility in Munich, Germany. The company is now advancing to on-road vehicle testing, a critical step toward final validation and homologation for the European market.
Mullen’s expansion strategy begins with Germany, a key automotive market. Subsequently, the company intends to introduce the FIVE RS to other European Union nations, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa in early 2026. A launch in the United States is anticipated after the vehicle establishes a sales track record in Europe.
A cornerstone of the European launch is the partnership with Faissner Petermeier Fahrzeugtechnik AG (FPF). FPF brings decades of experience in developing and producing components and vehicles for prestigious global brands, including BMW, Piech Automotive, and Gumpert Automotive. FPF’s IATF certification and compliance with Federal Motor Transport Authority requirements in Germany are expected to ensure high-quality production.
