Navistar, Inc., a leader in commercial transportation, has successfully expanded its network of electric vehicle (EV) authorized dealers, reaching a milestone of over 100 locations across the United States and Canada. This strategic increase marks significant progress in Navistar’s commitment to sustainable mobility, covering 41 states and seven Canadian provinces, aiming to support the sale and service of International® and IC Bus® EV models.

Key Highlights

  • EV Authorization: Dealers must meet rigorous criteria, including developing a detailed sales plan, investing in technician training, and equipping their facilities with necessary service tools and chargers.
  • Wide Coverage: The network spans across 41 states and 7 Canadian provinces, ensuring extensive geographical reach.
  • Customer Support: Dealers are focused on providing an exceptional customer experience, from sales to ongoing maintenance and operation.

“The International and IC Bus dealer network live our customer-first value and that is no different in the transition to EVs,” said Debbie Shust, VP, Work Truck Business at Navistar. “A zero-emissions future requires collaboration from all stakeholders.”

Rick Otten, President at Cumberland, highlighted the forward-thinking approach of the network: “We see the future of commercial transportation being more and more battery electric in certain applications. We are future proofing our business and educating ourselves so that we can be trusted advisors to our truck and bus customers in their journeys to sustainable operations, regardless of where they are in that journey now.”
