Nissan e-POWER Production Reaches 1.5 Million

Nissan announced that cumulative global production of its e-POWER vehicles has surpassed 1.5 million units as of October. The e-POWER technology offers a unique driving experience by combining a small gasoline engine with an electric motor to power the wheels, delivering strong acceleration and quiet operation. Currently, e-POWER vehicles are available in 68 markets worldwide, with plans to expand further.

Nissan e-POWER Production Reaches 1.5 Million

Nissan introduced e-POWER technology in 2016, starting with the Note e-POWER in Japan. Since then, this innovative powertrain has been integrated into various models, including the Kicks, X-Trail, and Serena minivan, expanding Nissan’s reach in the hybrid market. In fiscal year 2023, 42.6% of Nissan vehicles sold in Japan featured e-POWER technology.

In China, e-POWER became available in 2021, starting with the Sylphy e-POWER sedan and subsequently expanding to the X-Trail SUV. In Europe, e-POWER versions of the X-Trail and Qashqai SUVs were launched in 2022, with cumulative sales exceeding 100,000 units by January.

Nissan is targeting further expansion of its e-POWER lineup, with plans to introduce it in the U.S. and Canada by fiscal year 2026. The company aims to enhance the appeal and competitiveness of e-POWER technology to meet the diverse needs of customers around the globe.
