Advanced Suspension and Handling
The electric GLC elevates ride quality with technology borrowed from the flagship S-Class. The optional Agility & Comfort Package includes AIRMATIC air suspension and rear-axle steering, providing up to 4.5 degrees of steering angle. This setup delivers exceptional stability on various terrains, from urban streets to highways. The adjustable damping system balances comfort and sportiness, absorbing road imperfections for a refined driving experience. Such innovations position the GLC as a leader in the premium electric SUV segment, appealing to drivers who demand both luxury and agility.
Enhanced Space for Everyday Versatility
Building on the success of its predecessor, the new electric GLC offers superior spaciousness. With a wheelbase extended by 3.1 inches, passengers enjoy more legroom and headroom in both rows. The rear trunk provides 20.1 cubic feet of cargo space, expanding to 61.4 cubic feet with seats folded. A front trunk adds 4.5 cubic feet for extra storage, accessible via touch controls. This design enhances practicality, making the GLC suitable for family trips, outdoor adventures, or urban errands while maintaining its premium appeal.

Efficient Charging and Performance
At the core of the electric GLC’s appeal is its 800-volt architecture, which boosts efficiency and reduces charging times. Using DC fast charging at over 320 kW, drivers can add about 260 kilometers (roughly 161 miles) of WLTP range in just 10 minutes—perfect for brief stops. The system is compatible with 400-volt stations via a DC converter, ensuring flexibility. The initial launch model, the GLC 400 4MATIC with EQ technology, boasts a towing capacity of 5,291 pounds (unbraked) and a 220-pound tongue weight, ideal for hauling gear like electric bikes. Features like ESP trailer stabilization and a maneuvering assistant provide secure towing.
Timeless Design and Digital Innovation
Ola Källenius highlights the GLC’s timeless design language, marking it as the first in a new era of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. The exterior exudes prestige, while the interior features the optional MBUX Hyperscreen for a floating, immersive digital interface. Powered by the MBOS supercomputer, it offers intuitive controls and intelligent features, blending luxury with cutting-edge tech.
This electric GLC represents a significant step in Mercedes-Benz’s electrification strategy, combining efficiency, dynamics, and intelligence. As the company continues its largest product launch program, the GLC sets new benchmarks in the premium SUV market, attracting eco-conscious luxury buyers seeking performance without compromise.
