Lucid Group has begun deploying Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Lucid Gravity SUV owners through an over-the-air software update. The rollout starts March 12 in North America. Deployments to the Middle East and Europe are scheduled for late March.
Highlights
- OTA delivery via UX 3.5: The CarPlay and Android Auto functionality arrives through Lucid’s UX 3.5 software update, requiring no dealer visit or physical installation.
- Wireless and USB support: Both smartphone platforms support wireless and wired USB connections to the Gravity’s upper right Clearview Cockpit display.
- Standard on new builds: All new Lucid Gravity SUVs now ship with CarPlay and Android Auto included. The Lucid Air sedan already offers both as standard.
- Phased global rollout: North American owners receive the update first, with Middle East and European markets following in late March.

Software Update Details
The update is packaged within Lucid UX 3.5.0. Once installed, iPhone users can access navigation, calls, messaging, music, and Siri through the Clearview Cockpit display. Android users gain access to maps, media, and messaging apps through the same screen.
“Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are two of the most sought-after features by our customers,” said Emad Dlala, SVP of Engineering and Software at Lucid. “We are now providing a seamless connection between mobile devices and the Lucid Gravity.”
Display Integration
Both platforms render on the upper right section of the Gravity’s Clearview Cockpit. The system supports wireless Bluetooth pairing as well as a wired USB connection. Android Auto compatibility depends on the owner’s device model and operating system version.
Context
The update addresses a gap that Gravity owners had flagged since the SUV’s launch. The Lucid Air sedan already included both platforms as standard equipment. With this OTA release, Lucid has unified its smartphone integration offering across its full vehicle lineup.
