The new Opel Mokka GSE is defined by its powerful performance specifications. The electric motor produces a peak output of 207 kW (281 hp) and provides an immediate torque of 345 Newton meters. Drivers can select from three distinct driving modes—‘Sport’, ‘Normal’, and ‘Eco’—to tailor the driving experience. Energy is stored in a 54 kWh lithium-ion battery.
Motorsport-Derived Technology
The vehicle’s exceptional performance is supported by sophisticated technology inspired by its rally prototype. The Mokka GSE is equipped with a Torsen multi-plate limited-slip differential, ensuring optimal traction and handling. It also features a unique chassis with specially designed axles and new double hydraulic shock absorbers. Critical high-voltage components, including the motor, inverter, battery, and wiring harness, are sourced directly from the Mokka GSE Rally. The steering, chassis, and braking systems have been optimized using insights gained from Opel’s extensive experience in electric rallying.
Distinctive GSE Design and Interior
The Mokka GSE’s design reflects its high-performance capabilities. The exterior features GSE-specific inserts on the front and rear aprons, inspired by the rally car. It rides on exclusive, aerodynamically optimized 20-inch alloy wheels paired with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 225/40 R20 tires. Highly visible yellow GSE four-piston brake calipers at the front wheels complete the sporty look.
Inside, the driver and front passenger are seated in special Alcantara GSE Performance seats with integrated headrests for superior support. The cockpit includes a newly developed steering wheel, flattened at the top and bottom for direct feedback, and aluminum sports pedals.
Advanced Cockpit and Features
The Mokka GSE is equipped with a fully digital cockpit that includes a 10-inch driver information display and a central color touchscreen with a navigation system. The displays are customizable and provide GSE-specific data, such as G-force, acceleration values, and battery management information.
Standard safety and convenience features are comprehensive. The vehicle includes glare-free Intelli-Lux Matrix light, an automatic speed assistant, active lane-keeping assist, and a 180-degree rearview camera. Comfort is enhanced with multi-stage heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and wireless charging for compatible smartphones.
Availability and Purchasing Options
Customers have several options for acquiring the new Opel Mokka GSE. It is available for direct purchase at a recommended retail price of €47,300 (including VAT in Germany). Alternatively, leasing options are available starting from €399 per month. For those seeking short-term flexibility, Opel’s partner FINN offers a practical car subscription starting from a monthly rate of €499. The first customer deliveries are anticipated by the end of the year.
