Polestar has officially opened its largest retail location to date in Kista, Stockholm. The new facility spans over 1,000 square meters, marking a significant expansion of the electric vehicle manufacturer’s physical retail footprint. This location serves as a flagship model for the brand’s growing network of over 190 sales points worldwide.

Infrastructure and Design
The Kista location is distinguished by its sheer size and branding elements. The exterior features a 5.5-meter Polestar logo, the largest installed by the company globally. This signage exceeds the dimensions of the branding at the company’s global headquarters in Gothenburg.
Rong Guan, Creative Director at Polestar, notes that the signage is designed to function as a major visual landmark. Despite the increased scale, the interior architecture adheres to the brand’s strict global design language.
The aesthetic remains consistent with locations in Sydney or Seoul, utilizing a minimalistic approach. The gallery-style environment is engineered to focus consumer attention directly on the vehicles and their technical specifications.
Operational Capabilities
The facility’s expanded floor plan allows for a comprehensive service model not found in smaller satellite spaces. The Kista location integrates multiple business functions under a single roof to streamline the ownership lifecycle.
Key operational features include:
- Full Vehicle Showcase: Simultaneous display of the entire current and future model range.
- Service Integration: On-site workshop and technical servicing facilities.
- Lifecycle Management: Capabilities for pre-owned sales, test drives, and new vehicle handovers.
Martin Ölund, Head of Retail Network Development, states that the facility offers a complete interaction point for customers. Visitors can navigate the entire purchasing process, from initial test drives to final delivery, within the same location.
