Porsche Expands Taycan Lineup for 2025

Porsche is expanding its Taycan range with three new models, enhancing the second-generation Taycan with more power, improved range, and faster charging capabilities. The new models include the Taycan GTS sports sedan and Taycan GTS Sport Turismo, offering up to 690 hp with Launch Control, and a new entry-level Taycan 4 all-wheel-drive sedan for enhanced efficiency and practicality.

The expanded lineup now offers 13 versions of the Taycan, with three body variants, all-wheel and rear-wheel drive, and power ranging from 402 hp to 1,019 hp. Porsche aims to cater to diverse customer needs and mobility preferences, from high performance to efficient daily driving. “With the wide-ranging Taycan line-up, we meet a broad range of customer wishes and mobility needs. Our three latest models exemplify this exceptional breadth,” said Kevin Giek, Vice President Model Line.

Enhanced Features and Performance

The new Taycan models incorporate numerous updates for the 2025 model year, including improved design, technology, and extensive standard equipment. All Taycan versions benefit from:

  • Advanced powertrain: New rear-axle motor with up to 107 hp more power than its predecessor.
  • Optimized charging: Can be charged at up to 320 kW at 800-volt DC charging stations under ideal conditions.
  • Increased recuperation: Maximum recuperation capacity now reaches 400 kW.
Porsche Taycan

The Taycan GTS stands out as a high-performance yet practical vehicle, featuring up to 690 hp with Launch Control and a new push-to-pass feature, providing an extra power boost for short periods. It reaches 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, 0.4 seconds faster than its predecessor, and completes a ¼ mile run in 11.1 seconds. Unique exterior and interior elements, such as Race-Tex materials and high-gloss black details, set it apart visually.

The new Taycan 4 sports sedan is positioned as an entry-level all-wheel-drive variant, offering a balance of efficiency and all-wheel performance. Depending on the battery configuration, it delivers up to 429 hp with Launch Control. With dual motors for both front and rear axles, it provides greater driving stability and traction compared to the rear-wheel-drive model. It can reach 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds, slightly faster than its rear-wheel-drive sibling.

Pricing and Availability

The Taycan 4 sports sedan starts at $103,300, while the Taycan GTS starts at $147,900 for the sedan and $149,800 for the Sport Turismo variant. All three models are available for order now, with deliveries expected to start in late Q1 of 2025. Additionally, new exterior color options include Slate Grey Neo, Pale Blue Metallic, and Purple Sky Metallic.
