Porsche has launched its sixth Charging Lounge in Leonberg, near Stuttgart, strengthening its commitment to electric vehicle infrastructure. This state-of-the-art facility offers a premium charging experience tailored for Porsche electric vehicle owners, including those driving the Taycan and Macan Electric, while emphasizing sustainability and convenience.

Premium Charging and Comfort
The Leonberg Charging Lounge features six DC fast-charging stations, each delivering up to 450 kW of power. This allows rapid charging for Porsche models—a Taycan can reach 80% charge from 10% in just 18 minutes, while a Macan Electric takes 21 minutes. Beyond charging, the lounge provides a relaxing space with lounge chairs, snacks, soft drinks, a coffee machine, and modern restrooms. High-speed WiFi and scenic countryside views enhance the experience, with outdoor seating featuring recessed speakers for added comfort.
Sustainable Design
Designed with Studio F.A. Porsche, the lounge uses a modular structure made of steel, stainless steel, wood, and stone, minimizing concrete use. A local partner in Baden-Württemberg produces these components using renewable energy. A rooftop photovoltaic system generates electricity, while a heat pump manages heating and cooling. A digital building management system optimizes energy use, dimming lights when the lounge is empty.
Easy Access and Global Reach
Customers access the lounge via a Porsche ID, with automatic entry through license plate recognition or options like a Porsche Charging Card or My Porsche app QR code. Billing integrates with the Porsche Charging Service, which connects to over 900,000 charging points worldwide, including 75,000 fast-charging stations. Partnerships with IONITY and Aral pulse offer discounted rates for Porsche Charging Service Plus users.
