Stellantis has announced a pivotal shift in its electrification strategy by advancing the launch of the range-extended 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger, ahead of its fully battery-electric counterpart, the Ram 1500 REV. Initially scheduled for the first half of 2025, the Ram 1500 REV launch has been postponed to 2026, with the Ramcharger now taking center stage to address growing consumer interest and evolving market demands.

  • Early Launch: The Ramcharger will be available for orders in the first half of 2025, with the Ram 1500 REV following in 2026.
  • Industry-Leading Range: The Ramcharger targets a class-leading range of up to 690 miles.
  • Advanced Technology: Includes a 92 kWh battery, 130 kW onboard generator, and bi-directional charging capabilities.
  • Exceptional Performance: Offers 663 horsepower, 615 lb.-ft. of torque, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of 4.4 seconds.
  • Towing and Payload Leadership: Best-in-class towing capacity of 14,000 pounds and payload capacity of 2,625 pounds.

The Sterling Heights Assembly Plant in Michigan will continue as the production hub for the Ram 1500 lineup, including electrified and internal combustion models. Stellantis’ decision underscores its commitment to innovation and leadership in the light-duty pickup market.

The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger’s cutting-edge features, such as vehicle-to-vehicle and vehicle-to-home bi-directional charging, enable greater versatility for customers, including charging other Stellantis electric vehicles or contributing power back to the grid.
