Reliant and GM Energy are collaborating to leverage their cross-industry strengths and provide customers with more sustainable energy solutions. The Reliant Free Charge Nights plan aims to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles by making charging more accessible and affordable. According to Rasesh Patel, president of NRG Consumer, “We’re excited to help Chevrolet EV drivers offset the cost of charging their vehicle all while having access to a renewable electricity plan.”

The new plan is available to both new and existing Reliant customers who own a Chevrolet EV. By enrolling in the Reliant Free Charge Nights plan, customers can enjoy free charging overnight, making the transition to an electric vehicle even more financially appealing. More than 150 Chevrolet dealerships across Texas can offer the plan to new EV buyers, allowing them to start experiencing the benefits immediately.

Aseem Kapur, Chief Revenue Officer at GM Energy, highlighted the importance of such initiatives: “As we continue to shape the future of EV charging and energy management for our customers, our work alongside Reliant in Texas is a sign of our commitment to working with industry leaders to facilitate more solutions that make EV adoption an easy decision.”

To participate, customers must designate one EV to receive the charging credit through their GM Energy Smart Charging Portal before signing up for the plan. The plan also includes electricity sourced entirely from renewable energy, reinforcing the commitment of both Reliant and GM Energy to sustainability.
