Renault has officially announced the pricing and specifications for its new Trafic E-Tech electric van, marking a significant addition to its 40-year legacy with pre-orders now available. The fully electric van is priced starting from £34,500 plus VAT, post a £5,000 Plug-in Van Grant (PiVG), with first deliveries to customers anticipated in September.
The Trafic E-Tech electric is presented in three distinct versions, offering choices in two body lengths and two heights, ensuring versatility for various professional needs. It boasts a 52kWh battery that supports a 186-mile range under the WLTP cycle and features rapid DC charging capability of up to 50kW.
Key features include an 8-inch Easy Link display, wireless smartphone integration, full LED headlights, and modern safety systems. The van’s design emphasizes practicality with up to 8.9m3 of load space, a 4.15m maximum load length, and a 920kg towing capacity. The cabin is designed to aid tradespeople with 88 litres of storage and a Mobile Office setup, including a folding table with an A4 clipboard and laptop storage.
This electric version slots between the Kangoo E-Tech electric and Master E-Tech electric in Renault’s lineup, maintaining its internal combustion engine counterpart’s strengths. It is capable of carrying loads up to 4.15 metres in length and towing up to 920kg, catering to a broad spectrum of professional needs.
The new model comes with a 52kWh lithium-ion battery, ensuring up to 186 miles of driving range. Rapid charging can recharge the battery from flat in approximately an hour, while a 7kW AC charger and 22kW AC fast charging options are also available. The van is backed by an 8-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty.
Powering the Trafic E-Tech electric is a 57kW (75hp) electric motor, offering 210Nm of instantly-available torque. It includes an Adaptive Regenerative Brake System (ARBS) for efficient energy recovery. The vehicle also integrates the MyRenault app and Easy Link multimedia system for enhanced connectivity and convenience.

Standard in the Advance specification, this model includes numerous amenities such as wireless smartphone connectivity, full LED headlights, a suite of driver assistance technologies, and a premium interior with a 7-inch color TFT display.
