Renault Group has announced a strategic reorganization of its electric vehicle charging activities under the single brand name “Plug Inn”. This unification integrates all hardware and service solutions, starting with the rebranding of its fast-charging network in April 2026.
Highlights
- The Mobilize fast charge network officially transitions to “Plug Inn fast charge” this month.
- Ultra-fast stations provide up to 320 kW, delivering 400 km of range in approximately 15 minutes.
- Renault targets 93 operational charging stations by the end of 2026 to strengthen territorial coverage.
- The ecosystem includes bidirectional V2G powerboxes and a single-payment European charging pass.

Strategic Consolidation of Charging Services
Industry manufacturers are increasingly consolidating charging brands to reduce consumer friction and establish proprietary service standards. This move allows Renault to streamline commercial operations and provide a cohesive infrastructure for the European market.
The brand “Plug Inn” will encompass three primary divisions:
- Plug Inn fast charge: The ultra-fast power network.
- Plug Inn powerbox: Hardware for bidirectional Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) services.
- Plug Inn charge pass: A unified payment solution for European charging.
Technical Specifications and Network Expansion
The ultra-high-power network is primarily located at Renault Group dealerships near major transportation corridors. These stations offer reliability exceeding 99% and maintain 24/7 technical support.
Furthermore, the Plug Inn powerbox facilitates bidirectional charging through V2G services. This hardware allows vehicles to interact with the power grid, optimizing energy consumption and supporting grid stability.

Pricing Tiers and Universal Access
The network remains accessible to all electric vehicle brands. However, Renault, Alpine, and Dacia customers receive specific pricing benefits via the Plug Inn charge pass.
Specifically, the “Intense” subscription costs €5.99 per month (approx. $6.52 USD) and offers a rate of €0.39/kWh ($0.42/kWh USD). The “Basic” no-subscription rate is currently set at €0.46/kWh ($0.50/kWh USD).
