Be.EV Joins Tesco Clubcard Across 680 Sites

Be.EV has joined Tesco Clubcard as a points partner, giving UK drivers one Clubcard point for every £1 spent across more than 680 charging sites and 2,500 bays nationwide.

Be.EV has joined Tesco Clubcard as a points partner, giving drivers one Clubcard point for every £1 (about $1.35) they spend at more than 680 Be.EV charging sites across the UK. The charge point operator says points collect automatically on eligible completed charging sessions once a driver links a Clubcard account inside the Be.EV app. Tesco says more than 24 million UK households now include a Clubcard member.

Highlights

  • One Clubcard point per £1 (about $1.35) spent at any Be.EV charger in the UK
  • More than 680 sites and over 2,500 charging bays covered by the partnership
  • Points convert to Clubcard vouchers redeemable at Tesco or with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners, some at triple value
  • Automatic accrual once the Clubcard account is linked in the Be.EV app

Enrollment runs through the charging app rather than the checkout. Drivers open the Be.EV app, sign in or create a member account, navigate to the Account section, and select the option to link a Tesco Clubcard account, then follow the on-screen steps to connect it. After the link is established, points accrue on eligible completed charging sessions without further action at the charger.

Points, vouchers, and rewards are tracked in the Clubcard section of the Tesco app.

What the Points Are Worth

Clubcard points collected at Be.EV chargers convert into Clubcard vouchers, which can be applied against purchases at Tesco or redeemed with more than 100 Clubcard Reward Partners. Tesco says some of those partners offer triple value on redemption.

Be.EV’s Network Position

Be.EV was established in Greater Manchester in 2019 and now operates more than 2,500 charging bays across more than 680 sites nationwide. The company says that footprint places it among the 10 largest UK networks measured by rapid and ultra-rapid bays, and describes itself as the UK’s second-ranked medium-sized rapid and ultra-rapid network in Zapmap’s driver-voted rankings.

The operator’s retail orientation predates this deal. Be.EV has built out ultra-rapid capacity at shopping and leisure destinations through a £3.5 million retail portfolio agreement, and opened its first NatWest-backed ultra-rapid hub at Hulme Retail Park in Manchester. Tesco also hosts Be.EV rapid chargers at a number of Tesco Express sites, which the companies position as suitable for topping up during a short store visit.

What the Companies Say

Shama Wilson, Tesco Group Membership & Loyalty Director, said: “We are always looking for new ways for Clubcard members to be able to collect Clubcard points and are delighted to announce our new partnership with Be.EV, allowing Clubcard members to collect points when they charge their vehicles at thousands of charging bays across the UK. With more and more Tesco shoppers opting for electric vehicles, we are sure that many of our customers will be excited by this latest addition to Clubcard.”

Asif Ghafoor, CEO of Be.EV, said: “This is about making the switch to electric genuinely worth it. Drivers are already charging on these journeys, but now every charge means they can collect Clubcard points which they can spend on their weekly shop or a day out. Pairing reliable ultra-rapid charging with a reward people actually value is how you make EV ownership feel effortless.” Ghafoor’s reference to a “weekly shop” describes the routine grocery run that Clubcard vouchers are most commonly applied against.
