A Collaboration Driving Sustainable Logistics

“This is a proud moment for our entire team,” said Erica Tsypin, Director of B2B Sales & Partnerships at Rivian. “Since our first vans hit the road in 2022, we’ve worked closely with Amazon to enhance performance, safety, and durability across diverse conditions.”

The purpose-built Rivian EDV combines efficiency, safety, and productivity. Designed to withstand long delivery routes, the van also emphasizes environmental sustainability—an essential component of Amazon’s Climate Pledge to achieve net-zero carbon operations by 2040.

Amazon’s Global Electrification Progress

According to Emily Barber, Amazon’s Director of Global Fleet and Products, “Decarbonized transportation is key to our mission. We now have more than 35,000 Rivian Electric Delivery Vans globally, delivering over 1.5 billion packages.”

Supporting Canadian Operations

Amazon’s delivery partner, Rev Courier Services Ltd. (REVC), is among the first to deploy the vehicles. “We’re proud to bring these electric vans to our community,” said Gary Brar, owner of REVC.

Rivian continues to strengthen its Canadian presence, with service and delivery centers in Toronto, Richmond, Montreal, and Calgary, plus engineering hubs in Toronto and Vancouver. The latter includes staff from Rivian Volkswagen Group Technologies, the automaker’s joint venture focused on next-generation software development.
