A Veteran Industrial Operator Takes the Helm
Napoli brings decades of global industrial leadership experience to Lucid, having most recently led Schindler Group as its chairman and chief executive. His background spans large-scale global operations, financial management, and technology-driven businesses.
The appointment follows a leadership search that began after Peter Rawlinson stepped down from the CEO and CTO roles, a transition the company announced early last year. Lucid first identified Napoli as the incoming chief executive when it appointed him to the role earlier this spring, with the title taking effect once U.S. work authorization was secured.
“On behalf of the Board, we are pleased to have Silvio as CEO at this important stage for Lucid,” said Turqi Alnowaiser, Chairman of the Lucid Board of Directors. “The Board remains fully committed and focused to Lucid’s long-term future, and we have strong confidence in Silvio’s leadership.”
Napoli Outlines His Priorities
In his first comments as chief executive, Napoli pointed to execution and organizational discipline as central themes for his tenure.
“After spending time with our teams and gaining deeper firsthand experience with our products and technology, I’m increasingly confident in our ability to deliver consistent execution and long-term value,” said Napoli. “Our focus will be on strengthening customer engagement, operating with consistency and accountability, achieving cost competitiveness and streamlining our organization and processes to fully leverage the strength of our team.”
Winterhoff Returns to COO
Winterhoff, who stepped in as interim chief executive during the search, has moved back to the chief operating officer position and will report directly to Napoli, providing operational continuity through the handover.
