Škoda Auto has begun production of its most affordable all-electric model, the Elroq, at its Mladá Boleslav plant. Positioned as a competitively priced compact SUV, the Elroq combines the innovative Modern Solid design language with advanced electric vehicle (EV) technology. Sharing an assembly line with the Enyaq and Octavia models, the Elroq exemplifies production efficiency while meeting growing consumer demand for affordable EVs in Europe.

Production Insights
The Mladá Boleslav facility, Škoda Auto’s main plant, remains the only Volkswagen Group site in Europe producing both ICE and MEB platform vehicles on a shared assembly line. This strategic flexibility allows rapid adaptation to market demands while reducing costs. To accommodate Elroq production, part of the Octavia’s assembly was moved to the Kvasiny plant in 2024.
The plant’s battery production milestone—reaching one million units in December 2024—underscores Škoda Auto’s commitment to EV innovation and efficiency.

The Elroq marks a milestone for Škoda as its first fully electric compact SUV and the debut model for its Modern Solid design language.
