Flexible Manufacturing Enables BEV-ICE Parallel Production
The Mladá Boleslav production line enables parallel manufacturing of battery-electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. This flexibility allows Škoda to adjust output based on real-time customer demand. The configuration supports production of the Elroq, Enyaq, and Octavia models on shared infrastructure.
Andreas Dick, Škoda Auto Board Member for Production and Logistics, stated that producing 100,000 Elroqs in under a year reflects rigorous preparation and targeted adaptations to production processes. The company has leveraged line flexibility from the outset to build both battery-electric and ICE vehicles simultaneously.

European Market Performance
Škoda Auto delivered nearly 120,000 BEVs globally during the first three quarters of 2025. In Europe, the Elroq ranked second among electric vehicles while the Enyaq placed sixth. The Elroq holds the top-selling BEV position in the Czech Republic, Denmark, and Slovakia.
The model also ranks among the top three best-selling BEVs in Austria, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. In the UK market, the Elroq represents 12% of total Škoda sales year-to-date.
German Market Leadership
Germany represents Škoda’s largest single market. The Elroq recorded 3,320 registrations in October 2025, making it the best-selling electric vehicle in the country that month. The model also achieved Europe’s overall best-selling electric car status in April, July, and October.
Industry Recognition and Awards
The Elroq has received multiple international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award. The compact SUV was recently named German Car of the Year 2026.
A jury of 40 German and international automotive journalists selected five class winners from 80 new vehicles. The Elroq prevailed against four remaining finalists in the concluding round. The jury noted strong performance in quality, environmental characteristics, price-performance ratio, handling, and drivetrain evaluation categories.
