SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart energy technology, has introduced a new solar-powered electric vehicle (EV) charging solution aimed at helping businesses cut costs. Unveiled at Intersolar Europe 2025, this system integrates solar energy, battery storage, and grid power to offer an affordable and efficient charging option for EV fleets. Early adopters, including a beta customer, have reported savings of up to 70% reduction in EV charging costs, showcasing its potential for commercial applications.

The solution is part of SolarEdge’s Commercial and Industrial (C&I) ecosystem, enhancing its solar and storage offerings. The SolarEdge ONE EV Charger maximizes solar energy use with a sleek, easy-to-install design, featuring snap-on mounting and AI support via an agent named Olivia. It’s available now for commercial use and expected for residential applications by Q3 2025.
A standout feature is its energy management system, which analyzes real-time data to choose the cheapest energy source—solar, battery, or grid. Christoph Vogl, CEO of BV-comOffice GmbH, noted, “We’ve cut our EV fleet charging costs by around 70%,” highlighting the system’s ability to prioritize vehicles and adapt to solar availability. It also supports scaling up to 20 times more chargers without overloading existing infrastructure.
Additionally, SolarEdge is launching its ONE for C&I energy optimization software worldwide, offering tools for remote monitoring and management. This comprehensive solution reinforces SolarEdge’s commitment to sustainable, cost-effective energy for businesses.
