General Motors (GM) is expanding access to over 17,800 Tesla Superchargers for its electric vehicle (EV) drivers, enhancing fast-charging options across North America. With the use of a GM-approved NACS DC adapter, customers can access a total of 231,800 public Level 2 and DC fast chargers in the U.S. and Canada. This move aligns with GM’s commitment to accelerating the expansion of EV infrastructure and facilitating a seamless charging experience for drivers through its mobile apps.

Starting today, General Motors is opening access to Tesla’s extensive Supercharger network, providing its EV customers with more fast-charging options. Through GM’s vehicle apps, customers can purchase the required NACS DC adapter and easily find and use Tesla Superchargers across North America. This initiative supports GM’s broader efforts to expand public charging infrastructure, aiming for an all-electric future that is more convenient for EV drivers.
The adapter, priced at $225 USD, will initially be available in the U.S., with Canadian availability later in the year. By incorporating Tesla’s Superchargers, GM customers can utilize more than 231,800 public chargers in total, including both Level 2 and DC fast chargers, making charging easier on heavily-traveled routes.
