Toyota has introduced the 2026 Toyota RAV4, ushering in the sixth generation of its top-selling compact SUV. This latest model brings noteworthy updates, including a complete transition to electrified powertrains and the debut of three unique designs: Core, Rugged, and Sport. Aimed at meeting diverse customer needs, the 2026 RAV4 blends innovation with the reliability and adaptability that have defined the lineup since its U.S. launch in 1996.

Key Highlights:

  • Exclusively electrified: Offered solely with Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) or Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) powertrains.
  • Three new designs: Core (LE, XLE, Limited), Rugged (Woodland), and Sport (SE, XSE, GR SPORT).
  • Boosted performance: Higher horsepower across HEV and PHEV models.
  • Cutting-edge tech: Features the Arene software development platform, an upgraded Toyota Audio Multimedia system, and Toyota Safety Sense 4.0.
  • Enhanced utility: Increased towing capacity on select grades.

The 2026 RAV4 showcases three tailored designs. The Core design, spanning LE, XLE, and Limited grades, offers a sleek, modern aesthetic with a paint-matched grille and wheel sizes from 17 to 20 inches. The Rugged design, unique to the Woodland grade, is adventure-ready with All-Terrain tires, a raised front end, and a 1.25-inch rear activity mount. The Sport design includes the SE, XSE, and the new RAV4 GR SPORT, which features a GR-tuned suspension and 20-inch wheels for a spirited drive.

Powering this RAV4 are electrified options: the HEV, delivering up to 236 horsepower with all-wheel drive (AWD), and the PHEV, offering up to 320 horsepower and a 50-mile electric range. The PHEV lineup now includes four grades, adding Woodland and GR SPORT. Select PHEV models also support DC fast charging.
