WESTLAKE, Ohio – TravelCenters of America Inc, the largest publicly-traded full-service travel center network in the US, has entered into an agreement with Electrify America to provide electric vehicle charging at select TA/Petro locations. The first charging stations are planned to be deployed in 2023.
As part of the deal, TravelCenters of America will purchase approximately 1,000 individual chargers to be installed at 200 locations along major highways over the next five years. Electrify America will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the charging stations through its Electrify Commercial business unit. The charging network will be available to almost all electric vehicle brands and will offer charging speeds up to 350 kW.
