Aerodynamic and Functional Design
The latest LEAF, designed at Nissan’s Global Design Studio in Japan, features a dynamic crossover appearance that emphasizes aerodynamic performance. Its sleek profile, characterized by flush-mounted door handles, sculpted surfaces, and a flowing roofline, contributes to its impressive efficiency and a real-world highway range of up to 269 miles at 70 mph.
The vehicle’s exterior is complemented by a unique 3D taillight signature and optional 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin provides a spacious, family-oriented environment with up to 437 liters of cargo space. Additional options like a power liftgate, roof rails, and a dimming panoramic roof add to its versatility.
Elite Range and Smart Charging
The new LEAF is offered with two battery options: a 52kWh version providing a range of over 271 miles and a 75kWh version achieving up to 386 miles. This places the LEAF among the top performers in its segment. The vehicle also boasts impressive energy consumption as low as 4.5 miles/kWh.
Beyond driving, the LEAF is equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, offering a 3.1kW output to power external devices. The model is also engineered to be Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) ready for future energy-sharing applications.

EV Performance with Advanced Driver Assistance
Constructed on the CMF-EV platform shared with the Nissan Ariya, the new LEAF is engineered for an engaging yet comfortable driving experience. The refined electric motor in the 75kWh model delivers 215 horsepower and 355 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 7.6 seconds.
The vehicle includes a comprehensive suite of driver assistance features for enhanced safety. These include e-Pedal Step for one-pedal driving, ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link for adaptive cruise control, and a 3D Around View Monitor. Other safety systems such as Intelligent Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Intervention, and Lane Keep Assist come standard to ensure driver confidence.
Built for the Connected Driver
At the center of the LEAF’s interior is NissanConnect with Google built-in, creating a seamless user experience. The system integrates Google Maps, Google Assistant for hands-free controls, and the Google Play Store for access to a wide range of applications.
Information is displayed across a fully digital cockpit featuring twin 14.3-inch screens. The accompanying NissanConnect Services app allows drivers to remotely check battery status, prepare the cabin climate, and plan journeys directly from their smartphone. The first customer deliveries are anticipated for Spring 2026.
