Unplugged Performance has announced a complete aerodynamics kit for the 2026+ Tesla Model Y Performance. The system is engineered as a cohesive package to improve aerodynamic efficiency and vehicle stability while complementing the vehicle’s original design language.

Aerodynamic System Components
The Model Y Performance Aero Kit features a selection of exterior components that allow owners to customize their vehicle. The components work together as a unified system and are available for purchase individually or as a complete package.
The kit includes:
- Front Lip Splitter: Directs airflow under and around the vehicle’s nose to improve front-end stability and reduce lift.
- Front Aero Canards: A pair of canards that manage high-pressure air along the bumper corners for better turn-in response.
- High Efficiency Rear Fins: Smooths airflow along the vehicle’s sides to reduce turbulence.
- High Efficiency Rear Diffuser Extension: Accelerates air exiting from under the car, which reduces drag and generates downforce.
- High Efficiency Trunk Spoiler: Works with the diffuser to balance pressure zones and stabilize the rear of the vehicle at highway speeds.
Data-Driven Performance Gains
The 2026 Tesla Model Y Performance features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing up to 510 horsepower with a 0–60 mph time of 3.5 seconds. Unplugged Performance identified opportunities to improve stability and aerodynamic refinement, particularly at higher speeds.
All parts were developed using advanced Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) modeling and validated with transient solver simulations exceeding 30 million cells. The complete kit eliminates all aerodynamic lift present in the stock vehicle, achieving net downforce. The combination of the Rear Fins, Diffuser Extension, and Trunk Spoiler results in a ~2.4% reduction in drag and a ~534 N improvement in net downforce, enhancing grip and stability. The CFD-tuned geometry ensures these gains are achieved without adding noise or ride harshness.
Design Integration and Availability
The design philosophy focuses on seamless integration with Tesla’s factory aesthetic. The Model Y Aero Kit is engineered to preserve the vehicle’s original form while sharpening its proportions and emphasizing its athletic stance. Each component is molded and finished to OEM standards and is available in painted gloss black.
The Unplugged Performance Aero Kit for the 2026+ Tesla Model Y Performance is available for preorder at www.unpluggedperformance.com and through authorized partners. The first customer orders are scheduled to ship worldwide at the end of 2025.
