VinFast Splits EV Lineup Into Three Brands

How the Three Brand Lines Break Down

The reorganization gives each brand a clearly defined market position. Lac Hong sits at the top as VinFast’s ultra-luxury tier. It currently includes three models: the 900 LX, 900S, and 800S.

The VF line covers mass-market passenger EVs. It spans multiple segments, from the compact VF 3 through the full-size VF 9. The lineup also includes the seven-seat VF MPV 7.

Meanwhile, the Green brand focuses on commercial and fleet applications. Its models include the Limo Green, Herio Green, Nerio Green, and Minio Green.

Lac Hong 800S and 900S: Design and Features

The two new models expand the Lac Hong collection that began with the 900 LX in 2025. That vehicle included an armored variant.

Exterior Design

Both the 800S and 900S share a unified design language. Key design elements include vertical grille slats and a wing-shaped emblem. Decorative motifs draw from the Dong Son bronze drum and terraced rice fields. Additionally, gold-plated alloy badges appear on both models.

The 800S targets a bolder, more athletic aesthetic. In contrast, the 900S adopts a more formal and classical appearance.

Interior Appointments

Inside, VinFast equipped both vehicles with Nappa leather, rare wood trim, and gold-plated accents. Standard features include zero-gravity executive seats and power-assisted doors.

However, the 900S goes further. It adds several exclusive features:

  • Privacy partition between the front cockpit and rear cabin
  • Starlight headliner for ambient lighting
  • Large-format projection entertainment system
  • Foldable executive workstation for second-row passengers

Powertrain and Performance Specs

Both the 800S and 900S ride on a new fully active suspension system. As a result, VinFast says ride comfort and dynamic stability are significantly improved.

The available tri-motor powertrain uses one front motor and two rear motors. Together, they produce a combined output of up to 460 kW (approximately 617 horsepower).

VinFast’s Market Position

VinFast Deputy CEO of Global Automotives Duong Thi Thu Trang said the three-brand structure sets the stage for the company’s next growth phase. She described it as structured, professional, and focused on breakthroughs.

The company has now developed more than 15 EV models in total. In 2025, it set a national sales record with 175,099 vehicles delivered in Vietnam alone. Therefore, it has held the top position in the Vietnamese market for 16 straight months.
