Volkswagen has introduced the ID. Promise program, allowing new EV customers up to 100 days to “drive and decide” if an electric vehicle suits their lifestyle. The initiative aims to remove uncertainty for buyers considering the switch to electric mobility.

- Applies to Volkswagen ID.3, ID.4, ID.5, ID.7, and ID.7 Tourer
- Available to retail and PCP customers from 3 November 2025 to 31 March 2026
- Customers pay only a 3% usage fee and repair costs if returning the car
Flexible Trial for New EV Buyers
Under the ID. Promise, retail customers purchasing select Volkswagen ID. models can return their cars between 80 and 100 days after delivery if they decide an EV doesn’t fit their needs. Refunds are issued through the retailer, minus a fixed 3% usage fee and any applicable repair costs for damage or modifications.
The offer excludes Motability, contract hire, fleet, and ex-demonstrator purchases. Full terms and conditions are available on Volkswagen.co.uk.
