Volkswagen has introduced the new Tayron, a versatile SUV positioned between the Touareg and Tiguan, designed for the European market. The Tayron offers up to seven seats, spacious interiors, and an impressive towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes. Available in a plug-in hybrid variant with over 100 km of electric range, the Tayron combines practicality with innovation. The new model is now available for pre-order, starting at 45,475 euros, with multiple drive options including mild hybrids, plug-in hybrids, and powerful diesel engines.

The Tayron is designed to offer versatility and comfort, with its spacious passenger and luggage compartments making it suitable for families and adventurers alike. It’s equipped with seven efficient drive systems, including two next-generation plug-in hybrids (eHybrid) that deliver over 100 km of electric range, making it a practical choice for both urban driving and long-distance travel.
The Tayron Life is the entry-level package, featuring extensive standard equipment, including nine airbags, a three-zone automatic air conditioner, and advanced driver-assist systems like adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. The R-Line and Elegance trims offer further upgrades, including premium interior materials and high-tech features like voice control with ChatGPT integration.
With its LED headlights, illuminated Volkswagen logos, and sharp design, the Tayron stands out in terms of aesthetics. The SUV’s technology modules, such as adaptive chassis control and matrix headlights, contribute to a premium driving experience.
Customers can choose from various engine options, including mild hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and diesel. The eHybrid models offer a system power of up to 200 kW (272 PS), with batteries that support fast charging at up to 50 kW at DC stations. Meanwhile, the largest TDI engine is paired with 4MOTION all-wheel drive, offering both efficiency and power.
Pre-sales for the new Tayron open with four drive system options available. The base eTSI model starts at 45,475 euros, with additional hybrid and diesel variants also ready for order.
