Wallbox and ENSOL EV are expanding their partnership to deploy Supernova DC fast chargers across high-growth electric vehicle (EV) markets. This collaboration targets key urban centers and transit corridors in Texas, Florida, and Georgia, aiming to build out critical charging infrastructure to meet accelerating demand.

Key Highlights

  • Wallbox and ENSOL EV are extending their collaboration to include DC fast charging solutions.
  • The deployment will feature Wallbox’s Supernova 180 kW fast chargers.
  • The initiative targets the rapidly growing EV markets of Texas, Florida, and Georgia.
  • ENSOL EV plans to pair the chargers with on-site renewable energy systems, including solar and battery storage.
  • Initial installations are scheduled to begin in the second half of 2025.

Strategic Expansion into Fast Charging

The expanded agreement marks a significant step in the relationship between Wallbox, a global leader in EV charging solutions, and ENSOL EV, the e-mobility division of Ensol Energy Solutions. While the two companies previously collaborated on installing Wallbox’s Pulsar line of AC chargers, this new phase is their first joint venture into the DC fast charging sector.

The initiative centers on the Wallbox Supernova charger, which has recently received both CTEP and NTEP certifications, ensuring its reliability and compliance for public use. This strategic move allows both companies to address the growing need for fast, accessible public charging stations.

“This expansion is an exciting next step in our work with Ensol and brings our Supernova fast chargers to high-growth EV markets in the U.S.,” said Douglas Alfaro, Chief Business Development Officer at Wallbox.

A Focus on Sustainable Infrastructure

A core component of this partnership is a shared commitment to sustainable energy. ENSOL EV intends to integrate the Supernova chargers with renewable energy sources. By pairing the charging stations with solar power and battery storage systems, the project aims to create a truly clean and resilient transportation ecosystem.

This approach aligns with the missions of both organizations to foster long-term, sustainable mobility solutions. “Our goal is to build charging infrastructure that not only enables electric mobility but is rooted in sustainability as the core of the entire concept,” stated Ernesto Figueroa, CEO at ENSOL EV. “Wallbox’s Supernova chargers are a perfect fit for our projects, allowing us to integrate renewable energy and smart technologies seamlessly.”

Rollout and Technology

The initial deployment of the Supernova fast chargers is set to begin in the latter half of 2025, with more sites planned through early 2026. The rollout will prioritize high-traffic urban zones and regional transit corridors where the demand for reliable EV charging is most acute.

The Supernova fast charger provides up to 180 kW of power, significantly reducing charging times for EV drivers. It also features integrated smart charging capabilities, which optimize energy distribution and ensure high uptime performance for a reliable user experience.
