X9 Flagship Brings 800V Architecture

The XPENG X9 seven-seat model utilizes the company’s SEPA2.0 platform with 800-volt electrical architecture. The vehicle features what XPENG describes as a “starship-inspired” exterior design.

The X9 targets families and business customers seeking long-range electric capability in a larger format. XPENG has not announced UK pricing or final specifications.

Retail Network Expansion

XPENG UK, operated through International Motors Ltd (IML), plans strategic dealer appointments in 2026. The company identified London, Birmingham, Manchester, Bristol, and Edinburgh as priority markets.

“We will continue to grow our retailer network in 2026. However, this will be done strategically, focusing on locations convenient for our future customers,” said Jonny Miller, XPENG UK Sales Director.

IML distributes XPENG alongside Subaru, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Motors, and GWM in the UK market. The company operates vehicle preparation facilities in Sheerness and a parts warehouse in West Bromwich.

Additional Models Planned

XPENG indicated that additional models are in development for UK introduction later in 2026. The company did not provide details on specific vehicles or segments.
