Volkswagen of America is enhancing its 2025 ID.4 all-electric SUV with the introduction of a new, optional Black Package. This package is designed to provide the American-assembled electric vehicle with a more distinctive and bold aesthetic. The Bold New Black Package
The new Black Package adds a layer of aggressive styling to the 2025 ID.4. For customers selecting the S and S Plus trims, this optional package incorporates several black-painted exterior elements for a sleek, cohesive look. These details include black mirror caps, door handles, badging, and flitzer. The package is completed with a set of 20-inch black painted aluminum-alloy wheels, which significantly enhance the vehicle’s road presence. For added convenience on the premium S Plus models, the package also includes a practical auto-dimming driver’s side mirror.
2025 ID.4 Trims and Updates
The 2025 Volkswagen ID.4 builds upon the significant upgrades introduced in the previous model year. The majority of the production run for the 2025 model year will be available in five primary trims, all equipped with 82 kWh batteries. These trims include two Entry models (Pro, AWD Pro), two S models (Pro S, AWD Pro S), and one S Plus model (AWD Pro S Plus).

Volkswagen has also implemented software updates for models produced from mid-April onwards. This updated software introduces a door opening warning, an enhanced seatbelt reminder, and available Premium Speech functionality, improving both vehicle safety and user convenience. Adding to the customization options, a new exterior color, Mountain Lake Blue, joins the color palette for the 2025 model year.
