Praised for All-Around Excellence
“The EV9 is not just a great EV — it’s a great three-row SUV, period,” commented Aaron Bragman, Detroit Bureau Chief for Cars.com. He emphasized its real third-row usability, plenty of cargo space, and competitive range as key family-friendly attributes. The addition of quick charging capability and access to Tesla’s network makes it an “incredibly well-rounded package,” solidifying its position as a top pick.
The EV9 continues to present a compelling option for consumers with its spacious cabin and towing capability. It is equipped with Kia’s latest technology, such as over-the-air system updates and an ultra-wideband-based Digital Key.
The standard model is powered by a 76.1-kWh battery and a 160-kW motor. For enhanced performance, buyers can opt for a 99.8-kWh battery with a single motor or a dual-motor setup that produces 283 kW (379 hp) and 516 lb.-ft of torque with torque-vectoring all-wheel drive. The EV9’s DC fast-charging compatibility allows it to charge from 10 to 80 percent in under 25 minutes when connected to a 350kW charger.
