AAM, a leading global Tier 1 automotive supplier headquartered in Detroit, designs, engineers, and manufactures innovative Driveline and Metal Forming technologies. The company operates over 75 facilities across 16 countries, playing a crucial role in advancing a safer and more sustainable automotive future.
Scout Motors was established to craft the next chapter for the legendary Scout brand, which was originally produced by International Harvester from 1961 to 1980. By revitalizing this American icon, Scout Motors is dedicated to returning manufacturing to U.S. shores. The collaboration with AAM reinforces this commitment to domestic innovation.
David C. Dauch, AAM Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, stated that the company is “honored to support the rebirth of the iconic Scout brand and play a significant role in these important vehicle launches.”
As development continues, Scout Motors is currently accepting reservations for the Traveler SUV and Terra pickup truck, with production targeted to commence in 2027.
