ABB E-mobility has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charging portfolio with the launch of three new chargers: the A200/300 All-in-One chargers, the MCS1200 Megawatt Charging System, and the ChargeDock Dispenser. This expansion builds on the success of the A400 and C50 chargers introduced last year and is part of the company’s strategy to address critical challenges in EV adoption through a platform-based approach.
Key Highlights
- Field-upgradable A200/300 All-in-One chargers for scalable public charging solutions.
- MCS1200 Megawatt Charging System delivering up to 1,200kW for heavy-duty vehicles.
- ChargeDock Dispenser offering flexible charging options for public transit depots.
- Award-winning design recognized by Red Dot and iF Gold Awards.
- Platform strategy enabling rapid innovation and 99% uptime reliability.
In the Public Charging segment, the A200 and A300 chargers offer a field-upgradable architecture, allowing operators to start with 200kW and upgrade to 300kW or 400kW as demand increases. This scalability helps reduce the Total Cost of Ownership over a 10-year period.
For Public Transit, the ChargeDock Dispenser, combined with the HVC 360, provides versatile charging solutions supporting pantograph, roof, and pedestal options. It offers up to 360kW of shared power and significant installation flexibility.

In the Transport & Logistics sector, the MCS1200 Megawatt Charging System is designed for heavy-duty vehicles, delivering up to 1,200kW of continuous power. Its unique connector design simplifies the charging process for truck drivers.
The Destination & Retail segment benefits from the C50 Compact Charger, which is slim and designed for convenient charging during short stops. It features a large touch display for an enhanced user experience.
ABB E-mobility’s portfolio has been recognized for its design excellence, with the A400 winning the iF Gold Award and both the A400 and C50 receiving Red Dot Design Awards. The company also offers customization options for branding through their HMI Brand Configurator.
The platform strategy has allowed ABB E-mobility to rapidly innovate, launching five distinct products in the past year. This approach ensures reliability, with a target of 99% uptime, and improves serviceability through standardized components and a unique architecture that separates the charger into independent subsystems.
Service is a key focus, with performance-based service level agreements and 24/7 monitoring to maximize uptime. The new products will be showcased at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in Anaheim, California, from April 28-30, 2025, and at Power2Drive in Munich, Germany, from May 7-9, 2025.
