Danlaw, Inc., a global leader in connected car technology, unveiled CleverCharge, its latest innovation in EV charging, at CES Unveiled 2025. CleverCharge, a Level 2 smart home EV charger, combines advanced AI technology with the patent-pending CleverKey device to create a seamless and intuitive charging experience for households with multiple EVs. As a CES 2025 Innovation Awards Honoree in the Smart Home category, CleverCharge promises to redefine home EV charging with its intelligent features and user-centric design.
Key Highlights
- AI-Enhanced Charging: The system learns driving habits, sending proactive reminders to ensure EVs are ready for daily use.
- Energy Cost Optimization: Mobile notifications guide users on the best times to charge based on energy rates and allow scheduling via the app.
- Comprehensive Monitoring: The app dashboard provides real-time insights into battery range (in miles and kilowatt-hours), charging time, and battery health.
- Multi-Vehicle Support: CleverCharge creates unique profiles for each EV in the household and organizes chargers across multiple locations.
Scott Bolt, Chief Strategy Officer at Danlaw, remarked, “CleverCharge eliminates range anxiety and ensures your EV is ready for the next day’s routine. We designed it to not only be the easiest home EV charger to install and use, but also the most powerful in terms of its capabilities.”
CleverKey: Unleashing Deep EV Intelligence
At the heart of CleverCharge is CleverKey, an OBD-II plug-in device that gathers vehicle data to unlock the charger’s full potential. Features powered by CleverKey include:
- Plug-in reminders
- Scheduled charging
- Cost-per-charge estimates
- Battery health monitoring
The system automatically identifies the EV’s make and model, creating tailored profiles for each vehicle and syncing chargers across locations such as secondary homes.
